The Nigeria Midstream and Upstream Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA and it’s partners have agreed to deepen collaboration in a manner that guarantees energy purity in the country.
At a meeting with Oil markers and local refiners in Abuja, the NMDPRA assured of continuous engagement to address all issues of concerns by its stakeholders.
The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority oversees the midstream and downstream sectors of Nigeria’s oil industry.
Recently, several issues have emerged between oil marketers, refiners, and the NMDPRA, which can be broadly categorised into regulatory, financial, and operational challenges.
NMDPRA have been in separate talks with the oil markers and refiners.
Briefing journalists at the end of the meeting, they all agreed to continuously work together to address the challenges and ensure energy security for the country.
The marketers say the option of getting products from other sources have not changed as they will continue to patronise local refineries.
This meeting is expected to continue till Nigeria achieves gas energy security.
