Parents and caregivers have been urged not to keep special needs children at home but rather expose them to western education in their interest of the their future.
President, Nigerian Association of Pediatric Dentistry, Doctor Ifeyinwa Adegbulugbe was speaking at the presentation of Matrasses and dental accessories to special needs pupils in Ile-Ife.
Pupils with special needs gathered at the Special needs school in Ilare, in Ile-Ife.
They are sixty in the boarding house and with the support of the Nigerian Association of Paediatric Dentistry, these mattresses and dental accessories were provided for them.
The President, Nigerian Association of Paediatric Dentistry harped on the importance of oral health care particularly for the children.
A oral health talk was also presented on how different mouth diseases including cavities can be prevented.
A Oral health check was also conducted on all the pupils.
