A social media influencer and blogger, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkblackMan has been rearrested by the Nigerian police.
His lawyer, Deji Adeyanju on Sunday disclosed that his client has again been arrested, adding that VeryDarkMan was apprehended for exposing someone who allegedly duped a Nigerian abroad.
In a post on his X account on Sunday, Mr. Adeyanju said, “Our client, @thatverydarkman has just been arrested by the police on the instruction of CP Igwe for exposing someone who allegedly duped a Nigerian abroad.
His re-arrest by Abuja police comes weeks after his previous release, igniting a fierce debate on Nigerian social media.
The incident has divided public opinion, with supporters praising VDM’s persistence in activism, while critics question the repeated arrests and law enforcement authorities.
