The Zamfara capital, Gusau has come alive again as the state government is set for the ground breaking ceremony for the Construction of Gusau International airport.
The project is expected to be flagged off by the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo in Company of Governor Dauda Lawal among other Guests.
The airport when completed, is expected to make air travels easier for residents of Zamfara and neighboring states which hitertho fly from the Sultan Abubakar the third airport Sokoto.
The International Airport will also boost commercial activities, create job opportunities and attract investors, that’s according to the state Government
The Gusau International Airport Ground breaking ceremony is part of activities to mark Governor Dauda Lawal one year in office
Dauda Lawal had since May 25th, 2024 started commissioning different projects embarked by his administration across the fourteen local government areas of the state
All was achieved within his first twelve months in office as Governor
The former Gusau Cargo airport was an initiative of former Governor Bello Matawalle which was supposed to have been completed three years ago based on the dateline announced by the then government.
