Ahead of the planned nationwide protest, the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has met with stakeholders, including students and youths, assuring them that ongoing reforms by President Bola Tinubu will lead to economic recovery.
This is coming after a group, the Coalition of Civil Society For Good Governance asked youths not to be involved in the planned protest.
These are members of the Coalition of Civil Society For Good Governance On Happenings in Ondo State, South-West Nigeria.
This press briefing became imperative to persuade youths to shelve the planned protests, which the group says could be hijacked by miscreants.
In a related development, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa met with stakeholders, including students and youths from the three senatorial districts of the state.
Governor Aiyedatiwa told them that President Bola Tinubu has plans to improve the living conditions of the people and sought understanding of Nigerians.
The Governor appealed to the sponsors of the planned nationwide protest to seek a more peaceful option and approach.
Some of the youth leaders promised to advocate against violent protests in the State.
