The Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum says his administration would soon commence rehabilitation of abandoned state industries in order to boost its internal generated revenue.
He disclosed this to newsmen when he paid a visit to some factories in Maiduguri the Borno State Capital.
The Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum has since assumption into office, rolled out a 10 pact development agenda which creating job opportunities for the unemployed is part of it.
Now, that the state is enjoying relative peace, boosting economy of the state remains priority of the government.
So far, the Zulum administration has partnered with indigenous companies through public-private partnerships, and the outcomes have been favourable.
The state governor went to Nitel Shoes Maiduguri to examine the level of progress.
According to its management, the company’s tannery can process over 100,000 skins a month for both local and foreign markets.
At the end of his visit, Governor Babagana Zulum assured of his commitment towards boosting the state economy and creating job opportunities for the teeming youths.
