The Northeast Zonal CAN chairman Bishop Williams Naga has called on Nigerians to pray fervently for peace across the nation.
According to the clergy man, this is one sure way of solving problems bedeviling the county rather than taking to the streets to protest.
He stated this during the inauguration of new CAN executives in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.
Nigerians continue to grapple with insurgency up north, banditry and kidnapping across the country, food insecurity and economy downturn.
But clergy men are suggesting a spiritual solution to the unending security and economic challenges facing the country.
They believe that one of the best ways for Nigerians to flourish is for citizens to pray earnestly for their leaders.
The inaugural program for new zonal CAN executives brought together over 100 clergy men who took time to pray for leaders of the country.
The meeting recommended constructive dialogue instead of taking to the street to protest as solution to problems.
The key message for Nigerians is to pray for its leaders which clergy men say, this can only be achieved though tolerance, peaceful coexistence and unity of purpose.
