The Federal Government has commenced the construction of 250 housing units in Ekpan in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa said it will create over 6, 000 jobs as well as boost economic development.
The minister for housing and urban Development and the minister of state were in Delta state for the groundbreaking 250 units of housing made up of 1, 2 and 3 semi detachable bungalows for the low, middle income and high income earners.
This is the target of President Bola Tinubu to reduce the housing deficit in the country.
For Governor of Delta State who was represented by his deputy, Monday Onyeme, the alarming housing shortfall calls for all hands to be on deck to bridge the gap especially for many households.
The deputy Governor of Delta State and the minister assured of 3 months completion date for the project.
Delta State is among the 13 states to benefit from the first phase of the renewed hope estate of President Bola Tinubu.
