Zamfara State governor, Dauda Lawal has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing into law the North West Development Commission.

A statement signed by the spokesperson to Zamfara Governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris, says establishing the commission would create more opportunities for development in the North West region.
The statement added that Governor Lawal is optimistic the commission will quickly come into force to address the long years of underdevelopment in the region.

“This demonstrates the president’s concern for the deeply distressed people of the North West region, who have endured years of banditry and related crimes. He added.
“The North-West Development Commission was established to help rebuild roads, houses, and businesses destroyed during the crises that affected the region.
