At a public hearing on five bills organised by the House Committee on Commerce, attendees showed support for the bills on the establishment of the Chartered Institute of Co-operators and Social Enterprise Management.
Others are bills for Institute of Debt Recovery Practitioners of Nigeria, Agro-Processing Export Free Zone, Integrated Corporate Data Management Commission, and Institute of Chartered Corporate and Business Affairs Management of Nigeria.
Elsewhere, the House Committee on Monitoring, Evaluation and Implementation of the Legislative Agenda, believes Nigeria is potentially positioned to serve as the green, blue and digital hub of Africa.
Its Chairman, Patrick Umoh, said the task of salvaging Nigeria’s economy and resetting it on the path of sustainable growth and development after several years of failure is a most critical challenge for the country.
