The Jigawa State government has declared Monday, July 8, 2024, a public holiday to mark the beginning of the new Islamic year, 1446 AH.
In a statement to the press in Dutse, the State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K Dagaceri, made the news and encouraged inhabitants to pray for the state’s peace and prosperity.
He also urged the people to reflect on the teachings of Islam and the noble practices of the Prophet Muhammad and to live their lives in accordance with these values.
Dagaceri also emphasised the importance of remaining law-abiding and avoiding any actions that could disrupt the peace and stability of the state.
