At least 200 social media operatives and information managers from Kebbi State are undergoing a two-day capacity building and excellence management training for productivity and optimal service delivery.
Kebbi State Commissioner of Information and Culture, Yakubu Ahmed, declared the training workshop open in Sokoto on Wednesday.
He emphasised the importance of skills and knowledge necessary to effectively disseminate information and developmental projects of Governor Nasir Idris’s administration.
Yakubu Ahmed, Commissioner for Information and Culture, Birnin-Kebbi, noted that the training demonstrates the government’s commitment to capacity building and excellence in information management.
The program aims to equip journalists with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively disseminate information and manage the narrative of Kebbi state’s progress in the digital age.
He urged participants to actively participate, engage, learn, and re-learn from the intensive training.
Earlier, Shuaibu Mungadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Prime Image Global Services, assured the trainees that the training would be memorable and impactful, given the eminent resources assembled.
Dahiru Hassan-Kera, Managing Director of Prime Image Global Services, described the training as important and timely.
He noted that Governor Nasir Idris has demonstrated awareness of the vital role media plays in dispensing good governance through open, accountable, and transparent leadership.
