The Miyetti Allah cattle breeders association of Nigeria MACBAN has commended President Bola Tinubu for the innovation of the ministry of Livestock saying that it has the potential to unlock millions of additional quality jobs at a time when Nigeria is faced with a high level of graduate and youth unemployment.
The President of the association Othman Ngelzarma saod this at a press briefing in Abuja, but also expressed disappointment over comments insinuating that the creation of the ministry is tribal and a plot to forcefully take other people’s land to resettle pastoralists.
According to his projection, the president of MACBAN pointed out that by 2050 when the population of Nigeria is four times its current number, the ministry of livestock by then will be able to provide sustainable jobs and improve living conditions of Nigerians.
