Media professionals have called on government and other public and Private organisations to engage the services of only certified public relations professionals to maintain and control accurate narratives.
This is as they also emphasised the role and importance of effective communication and public relations in a democratic society.
These calls summed up activities at the Nigerian Institute of Public Relation’s special diamond induction ceremony for Media practitioners in Abuja .
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations welcomed new members as it continues the celebration of its diamond anniversary.
540 new inductees from across Nigeria’s media industry join the ranks of the NIPR.
Asides their various commitment to reaffirm the highest form of ethical standards , they charged those at the helm of affairs to also prioritise the role of public relations in every sector to maintain authenticity , professionalism and sanity in media practice
The institute implores media organisations and other practicing media professionals to join the institute to avoid being labelled as quacks in the industry.
