The recent rescue of five abducted victims in Kaduna State is evidence of the security operatives’ persistent dedication to Nigeria’s counterterrorism efforts, which are overseen by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).
The family of one Mr. Sanda Bitrus was rescued thanks to the concerted efforts of intelligence services and other security personnel.
Mr. Bitrus was abducted on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Mahuta Village, Kaduna South LGA, Kaduna state.
The rescued victims made up of a family of five, mother and four children were on Tuesday 30th July, handed over to their family by the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu at the National Counter Terrorism Centre, Office of the National Security Adviser in Abuja.
The rescued victims which included children and adults ranging from ages 5, 7, 9, 25 and 36 years old from a single family were rescued by the security operatives on Sunday, at Rijana general area, Chikun LGA, Kaduna State by the dedicated Security operatives.
The National Coordinator, National Counter Terrorism Centre, Major General Adamu Garba Laka, presented the victims to the National Security Adviser, who praised the security operatives for their continuous sacrifice for the freedom of the nation.
He expressed government’s commitment to addressing the security challenges bedeviling the country as the joint security operatives work saliently to bring peace and stability to the country.
