The Committee set up by the Plateau State Government to investigate the Saint Academy building collapse and other public and private schools will now extend their test to the remains of the Jos Terminus burnt market.
This is a direct order from the governor of Plateau State Caleb Mutfwang.
Almost immediately after the collapse of the Saint Academy building that killed about 22 students in Jos, Governor Mufwang announced the setting up of a high-powered committee to investigate the cause.
During the inauguration of the committee, Mr. Mutfwang mandated the members to extend the integrity test of both private and public school buildings to the burnt Jos terminus market to ascertain the state of the structure
Now, a non-governmental organisation has staged a peaceful procession to create awareness against raising illegal or substandard buildings in the state.
A delegation from Seyi Tinubu has also visited victims of the collapsed buildings in various hospitals and rendered their support.
The outcome of the investigative committee is expected to prevent further occurrences of such disasters in the state.
