President Bola Tinubu has received security update from heads of security agencies in the country.
The meeting is at the instance of the president and is part of the periodic assessment of the security situation in the country.
After being duly briefed, President Tinubu will always issue orders and fresh directives to the heads of security agencies and urge them to safeguard lives and property.
This meeting comes amidst pockets of security threats, including kidnapping and banditry in some parts of the country.
Also, at a time when security agencies are strenghtening collaboration to curb oil theft and ramp up crude oil production in the country.
At the end of the meeting, the inspector general of police described the meeting with the president as a routine security meeting .
The Chief of Defence Staff also confirmed that curbing oil theft was also discussed .
