The Taliban-run meteorological bureau has issued a warning for heavy rainfall, floods, and storms in six regions across the country on Saturday.
According to the department’s statement, the provinces at risk are Nuristan, Kunar, Nangarhar, Paktya, Khost, and Paktika.

The forecast expects 15 to 30 millimeters of rainfall in various places, with wind gusts ranging from 50 to 90 kilometers per hour.
This warning comes after a catastrophic flood and storm devastated Nangarhar over two weeks ago, killing over 40 people in the provincial Sorkroad district.

The United Nations has identified Afghanistan as the sixth most vulnerable country to climate change.
