No fewer than 20 travellers have reportedly been kidnapped by unknown gunmen along the Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode Expressway, between the Area Command and Ilisan City Gate in Ogun State.
Available information indicates that the gunmen ambushed the travellers on June 30, 2024, at around 9:00 PM.
The hoodlums reportedly shot one resident in the knee, and abducted the other victims into the bush.
The victim with a bullet injury is currently receiving medical treatment at the Babcock University Teaching Hospital in Ilishan Remo.

The Ogun State Police Command is yet to comment on the incident which is the latest in the series of attacks by gunmen along the busy Ijebu-Ode-Ore-Ajebamidele-Benin Road.
