The monarch who declared July 13th as Wole Soyinka day for Egba sons and daughters across the world said the theme of the celebration this year is: Defiance and creativity -A celebration of Soyinka’s artistic ingenuity and impact on Nigeria, Africa and the entire world.
He said the two days event would be held on July 12th and 13th 2024 at June 12 Cultural Centre, Abeokuta.
He added that activities of the celebration include, arts exhibition, books exhibition, documentary, cultural performances, poetry and hunting expedition by hunters from Egbaland.
