Skeletal business activity has been documented in Idumota market, while some stalls and establishments have closed.

Meanwhile, Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, is slowly returning to normalcy after first day of national protest. Business activities have resumed, but the impact of the protest is still being felt.
Business owners lamented the low patronage and financial losses incurred during the protest.
