The Kano State Independent Electoral Commission has fixed November 30, 2024, for the local government council elections.
The Commission’s Chairman, Sani Malumfashi while addressing newsmen on the preparedness of the exercise noted that all candidates will undergo drug tests before being cleared for the election.
According to Sani Malumfashi, party primaries and submission of candidate particulars will take place from September 6 to October 18.

The names of qualified candidates will be released on October 25 while Political parties have until November 1 to substitute or change their candidates.
