The National Peace Committee (NPC) says it will put more effort into its outreach to stem the tide of violence in the upcoming Edo and Ondo elections.
The Chairman of the Committee says it would not disclose its strategy as they jointly launch the Committee’s report on the 2023 general election.
More than a year after the 2023 general elections, the National Peace Committee presents its report to the public.
The report, tagged Nigeria’s Pursuit of Electoral Compliance contains the observation of the committee on electoral credibility in Nigeria
Going forward, the Committee made some recommendations.
The Chairman of the committee has also finalised arrangements with INEC for the signing of the Peace accord for the off-cycle elections in Edo and Ondo states
The INEC Chairman says since off-cycle elections have been peaceful in Nigeria with the support of the National Peace Committee.
