The Elegboro of Ijebu-jesa, Oba Femi Agunsoye has expressed concern over shortage of medical personnel at the General Hospital in the community.
They made the statement during the National Lottery Trust Fund’s presentation of multi-million naira medical equipment to the hospital.
The hospital was created by community efforts decades ago and then handed over to the state government.
Currently, the hospital has only one medical doctor and a few other health workers.
At the National Lottery Trust Fund’s donation of medical equipment to the Hospital, the Community’s traditional ruler urged that more medical personnel be recruited.
Tosin Adeyanju, Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Trust Fund, praised the President’s effort while also emphasising the importance of using the equipment responsibly.
Representative of State Governor, Tola Faseru thanked the federal Government for bringing the equipment to Osun State.
The equipment include one X-Ray Mobile machine, four infant incubators, ten suction machines, autoclaves, caesarean section equipment among others.
