Residents of Kano State, Northwest Nigeria have joined their counterparts across the country to show their grievances over hunger caused by economic crisis.
They are demanding change and better governance.
As they do, some are also on the streets rallying for President Bola Tinubu.
Some streets were eerily deserted as protesters, largely women and youths, occupied key areas, including the Government House Roundabout carrying placards and leaves.
Despite the tension, the protests remained peaceful, with no reports of violence or arrests.
Local authorities and security forces at strategic locations are present to maintain order.
