The 24 hours of curfew in Jos north and Bukuru metropolis of Plateau State have been fully complied with by residents.
The busy terminus commercial center in the state capital is empty; only the presence of security operatives is seen by our reporter monitoring the event.
The curfew was necessitated following a violent reaction by some of the protesters; destruction, looting, and vandalism of government and individual properties were recorded in the Jos North Council area Sunday evening.
They threatened to attack shop owners who would not join the action on Monday.
The state government says the next line of action will be determined when the situation improves.
