Nigeria will be the sole African nation to have five pupils from the Federal Government College, Vandeikya, in Benue State, represent the nation at the “2024 Asia Pacific Open Championship.”
The students have departed Nigeria for the competition which will take place from August 2nd to 4th at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai District, Hong Kong, China, organized by FIRST LEGO League Education, USA.
Governor of Benue state Hyacinth Alia has expressed commitment to nurture young talent and position Nigeria on the global stage in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence.

The students representing Benue State and Nigeria are: Leva Cephas, Gundu Faustina, Okom Linus, Alem Solomon and Onmeh Sonia.
