Following the recent flood that has sacked communities in Maiduguri, Founder and Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote has commiserated with the government and the people over the flood that affected about a million people in Borno state.
He was in the state alongside the governor of Nasarawa State Abdullahi Sule and a delegation from NNPC Limited.
Aliko Dangote announced a donation of 2 billion naira to the state Government so as to provide succour to victims of the flood.

The NNPC delegation also donated some truckloads of food items and medical supplies to victims.
In the same vein, the Gombe state deputy governor, Manasah Daniel has visited Governor Babagana Zulum to sympathise with the government and people of the state over the flood disaster that affected over a million people.
According to him the delegation visited at the instance of the Gombe State Governor who is out of the country on an official trip.
He assured of support in catering for the immediate needs of victims of the flood.
The Gombe state government also presented a cheque of 100 million naira to the Borno State Government.
