Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) Says it has set up a team led by its Deputy Director (ICT)to investigate the difficulties passengers are having obtaining their tickets online resulting to ticket racketeering on the Abuja – Kaduna Train Service (AKTS) in recent times.
In a Statement Signed by the Deputy Director,Public Relations,Yakub Mahmood, he explains that in order to arrest the situation, the Managing Director has directed Mohammed Modibo Ibrahim who was formerly the Manager in Charge of Enugu Station to report and take over as the Manager of the Abuja-Kaduna Train Station with immediate effect.
The NRC further States it is increasing the number of train frequencies on the route within the next two weeks while appealing to passengers that the situation will soon be brought under control.
