Senator representing Sokoto east Senatorial district Ibrahim Lamido has advised youth from the zone to embrace education.
He gave the advice while presenting scholarships to over one hundred youth from the eight local government areas that made up the district
The senator was represented by member representing Gwadabawa/Illela federal Constituency, Isa Bello Ambarura who said the challenges of insecurity and other vices in the eastern senatorial district of Sokoto can partly be addressed to quality education provided for the teeming youth in the region.
He said it is only effective education and youth empowerment that can fight against attempt by some unscrupulous elements to recruit youth of the region into banditry.
Beneficiaries of the programme promised to be good Ambassadors of the state in India as they make commitment to be focused and study to be successfully.
