The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, and Port Harcourt International Airport have been recognized by the Airport Council International (ACI Africa) for their outstanding commitment to Airport Emergency Management and Resilience.
The awards were presented during the Gala Night at the 33rd Annual General Assembly of ACI Africa, held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
According to Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, the awards were presented by ACI Africa’s Secretary-General, Ali Tounsi, and President, Emmanuel Chaves.
He stated that this recognition reflects the dedication and hard work of all involved in ensuring safety and operational excellence, with special commendation to the Honourable Minister, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN.
According to Mr Moshood, this achievement underscores Nigeria’s aviation sector’s commitment to providing secure and efficient airport services, setting a benchmark for global standards in aviation.
