The National Leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, Pa, Reuben Fasoranti says the group remains committed to the ideals of democracy, rule of law and an egalitarian society.
The leader of the group stated this when he led a delegation of some chieftains and members of the organization on a visit to the Palace of the Ooni of Ife.
The delegation include former Governor Gbenga Daniel, Arch Bishop Ayo Ladigbolu, Retired General Olu Bajowa, Senator Iyiola Omisore amongst others drawn from all the six southwest states including kogi.
In his speech, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, represented by Senator Femi Okunrounmu, acknowledged the challenges being faced in the country and expressed hope that the President is taking necessary measures to address them.
Pa Reuben Fasoranti commended the National Assembly for passing South West Development Commission Bill.
He expressed joy that Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has continued to play his crucial role in promoting the dignity of traditional institution in the Country.
Responding, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi acknowledged the significant contributions of Afenifere in fostering peace and stability across the country, urging leaders of the group to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu.
The event got to climax with the Presentation of a Birthday gift to Ooni of Ife by Oba Solomon Owoniyi, Obaro of Kabba assisted by other traditional rulers in the delegation.
