In a gesture of solidarity, the Kano State Government has donated ₦100 million to support victims of the devastating tanker explosion in Majia, Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf announced the donation during a condolence visit to Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi at the Government House in Dutse.
The funds will cover medical expenses for those injured in the tragedy.
Governor Yusuf’s gesture follows the recent tanker explosion that left hundreds injured and many dead.
The incident has sparked widespread condolences, including from Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, Nigerian Governors Forum, IGP and many more.
Governor Umar Namadi expressed gratitude for the donation, pledging that the funds will be used judiciously to support the victims.
