The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi says work on the Ondo State axis of the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project will soon begin.
The Minister gave the assurance while speaking with stakeholders on the specifications of the coastal highway project during a town hall meeting at the Government House, Akure, the state capital.
It is the unveiling of the details of the 63-kilometre Ondo State axis of the ongoing construction of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway
The Minister of Works highlighted the federal government’s commitment to infrastructure development as a crucial national investment.

Umahi said President Bola Tinubu is committed to quick completion of the coastal highway project.
He promised that work will soon begin on the Ondo State axis of the coastal highway project.
The Minister commeded Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his efforts geared towards making the project a reality in the State.
Governor Aiyedatiwa said the extensive highway project will connect several states, as it aims to link the western and south-eastern regions of Nigeria.
He added that the project will also facilitate improved cross-country connectivity and strengthen trade relations.
The Governor assured the people that the project will not be left to the contractors, but diligently monitored to ensure sustained progress.
