Adamawa state House of Assembly has denied media reports of stripping the Lamido of Adamawa of his position as the permanent chairman of the State Council of Chiefs.
The House Chairman on Information, Hon. Mahmud Musa described the report as a ploy to dent the image of the House.
Reactions have continued to trail the recent passage of a bill on creation of 84 districts in Adamawa state.’
While some stakeholders are commending the government, others have diverse views.
However, the spokesman of the Adamawa State House of Assembly sheats his view on the bill.
The spokesman further explained that the rotation of chairmanship within the three senatorial zone has nothing to do with the Lamido’s position as permanent chairman of the council of chiefs in the state.
Many believe that this new law will give all ethnic groups in Adamawa a sense of belonging and creating harmonious society.
