Northern elders have been advised to caution their followers to stop the campaign against the policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and rhetorics against a President from Yoruba extraction, as tax reforms policy was designed to affect all parts of the country.
A former Governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, Segun Showunmi has cautioned Northern elders to stop what he called anti Yoruba Rhetorics against the Bola Tinubu administration in the interest of the country.
He made this known in Abeokuta while speaking about the alternative and the need for a strong national opposition movement in the country.
Segun Showunmi who is also a former spokesperson of Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Committee in 2019 wants northerners to engage President Tinubu in a more positive way, on the issue of tax reforms and not on sentiment of where he comes from.
He speaks on some of the issues raised by some sections in the North against the tax reforms and some policies of the current administration in the country.
He advised President Bola Tinubu to adjust his economic team in order to reflect fairness, efficiency and effectiveness.
