Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has submitted six names to the State House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioner nominees.
The Speaker of the House, Ismail Falgore, made the announcement during a plenary session, where he read the governor’s letter.
The nominees include former Chief of Staff, Shehu Sagagi, along with Dahiru Hashim, Ibrahim Wayya, Isma’il Dan Maraya, Gaddafi Shehu, and Abdulkadir AbdulSalam.
This comes after Governor Yusuf recently implemented significant administrative changes, including the dismissal of five commissioners, the scrapping of the office of the Chief of Staff, and the removal of the Secretary to the State Government on health grounds.
The State House of Assembly is expected to deliberate and decide on the confirmation of the nominees in the coming days.
