Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso has emerged winner in the 7 for 7 campus debate national identity project.
The competition organised by the National Orientation Agency is part of efforts aimed at actualising the core mandate of the Agency to inform and enlighten the citizens on government policies and strategies.
The debate seeks to also help in re-energising citizens’ commitment to the implementation as well as mobilise the people to support the government through feedback mechanisms for the overall good of the nation.
The schools representing the six geopolitical zones debated on the National Values Charter, which aims to foster moral, ethical, and cultural reawakening among Nigerians.
One by one, the representatives slugged it out for the Grand prize of 20 million naira.
The government believes this kind of debate will entrench national values in young people.
Many of these young people left with a sense of national pride for the nation.
The government notes that this will be an ongoing conversation as it has become a necessity in our national life.
