The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has appealed to Nigerians not to be discouraged from helping the needy as a result of the recent unfortunate deaths recorded during palliatives distribution in Ibadan, Abuja and Anambra State.
It’s the presentation of gifts including food, souvenirs and learning materials to orphanage children in Osogbo.
The monarch represented by his wife, Temitope Ogunwusi danced and played with the pupils, encouraging them to remain hopeful and committed to achieving their goals in life.
She calls for strategic coordination in the distribution of palliatives to avoid casualties.
Elsewhere in Ibokun, over one thousand vulnerable and residents of Ibokun received food items to celebrate Christmas and New Year from a non-governmental organization, Leo Vest.
They believe initiative like this will support Government’s efforts at reducing hunger in the society.
More people are expected to benefit in subsequent distribution.
