Property worth millions of naira has been destroyed after a fire engulfed a Church around Olohunda area of Ibadan.
The Christ Apostolic Church was engulfed by fire in the early hours of Saturday.
Ayobami Adeleke, a member of the church, told TVC News that the impacted area was the children’s church, which also housed the church’s ministers’ apartments.
He stated that the event occurred late last night, as the church was wrapping up its carol service in the main church auditorium, when a commotion was heard from outside, alerting the crowd.
He added that it took the swift intervention of members of the church and the state fire service who came eventually to put off the fire.
Mr. Adeleke added that “No life was lost and nobody got injured”.
