Gunmen suspected to be bandits have attacked the Gidan Ado community in Riyom local government area of Plateau State, killing 15 locals, including women and children, Sunday midnight.

Last night, they were all in a happy mode as they went to bed hoping to wake up in peace, but tragedy struck in the middle of the night when gunmen invaded their community sending 15 persons to their early graves.
Their story is now from goodnight to goodbye to eternal rest.
This would be the final resting place of the 15 victims, including women and children, as agreed by the community.
As a measure to avert further attacks on communities in Plateau State during the yuletide celebration, the state government has restricted movement from 6pm to 6am across Mangu, Bokkos, Barkin Ladi, Riyom, and Bassa, crisis-prone council areas in the State.
The leadership of the special task force operation Safe Haven was commended for their response during the invasion.
They assured that no stone will be left unturned to arrest and bring the perpetrators to book.
