The designated airline for airlifting pilgrims from Jigawa State to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj is Max Air, according to the Nigerian National Hajj Commission.
In a statement released Thursday in Dutse, the state capital, by the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board’s Public Relations Officer, Habibu Babura, Director General Ahmed Labbo affirmed this decision.
The airlift of planned pilgrims from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia is scheduled to start in May 2025, according to Labbo.
He expressed his appreciation with the preparations, which ensured the pilgrims had a peaceful and comfortable journey.
The Director General assured everyone that all required arrangements had been made, including the creation of travel bags and uniforms for the incoming pilgrims, which are now available for collection.
The DG emphasised the board’s commitment to delivering a seamless experience for pilgrims both domestically and internationally.
Labbo thanked Governor Umar Namadi for his continued support and leadership, transforming the Pilgrim Welfare Board into a successful entity in Hajj operations.
He further explained that “as the 2025 Hajj approaches, the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board remains focused on providing exceptional services to pilgrims, ensuring a memorable and spiritual experience.”
The DG hinted that the selection of Max Air for the journey is expected to yield positive results, building on the airline’s previous success in airlifting pilgrims.
