The Kogi State Government has allocated over 7 billion naira to renovate 88 additional primary healthcare centers across the 21 local government areas of the State.
Governor Usman Ododo, represented by the State Commissioner for Health, Abdulazeez Adams announced this during the symbolic handover of project sites to contractors in Lokoja.
He said this aims to upgrade more than 150 healthcare centers to functional Level-2 health facilities, enhancing their capacity to deliver quality services.
The governor urged contractors to maintain high standards of professionalism, emphasizing that the project aligns with the government’s strategic plan to improve access to quality healthcare services across the state with support from the World Bank.
