President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, for the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW).
He landed 4 a.m. local time in Abu Dhabi, where he was received by Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, Cabinet Member and Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Invited by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the summit, taking place from January 12 to 18, will focus on the theme “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress.” The event will bring together global leaders to explore strategies for accelerating sustainable development and tackling urgent global challenges.
According to his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu is expected to emphasize Nigeria’s progress in energy, transportation, public health, and economic reforms. In addition to attending the summit, the president will hold discussions with UAE leadership to further strengthen bilateral relations.
Accompanied by Foreign Minister Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar and other senior officials, President Tinubu is scheduled to return to Nigeria on January.
