Three people were killed in a tragic incident that occurred on Wednesday when a small police training aircraft crashed close to the city of Rasht in northern Iranian.
The aircraft was on a training flight when it suffered a technical fault that resulted in the deadly crash, according to the official IRNA news agency.
The flight engineer, co-pilot, and pilot were named as the victims.
Although the precise cause of the technical issue is still being investigated, local authorities and emergency services arrived on the scene quickly.
