Troops of the Operation Safe Have have arrested a notorious wanted gunrunner and terror-leader Timothy Yusuf 62-years old and his son Timothy Obadiah in the Zango/Kataf LG of Kaduna State.
The Troops also recovered arms and large cache of ammunition at Fadiya village in Zango Kataf LGA of Southern Kaduna district in Kaduna State.
The arrest comes barely a week after the Chief Of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, handed down a warning to illegal arms dealers and manufacturers to change their ways.
Killing by Bandits/Terrorists have been a major security concern in Kaduna State with Southern Kaduna especiall badly hit.
Access to arms and ammunition by the Bandits/Terrorists has been one of the major issues Security agents have grappled with.
This arrests will serve as a morale booster that the issue can indeed be addressed decisively.
