The Nigerian Army says it is ramping up efforts aimed at pushing back Bandits, Terrorists and Other undesirable elements within the Northeast, Northwest and Other parts of the Country.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, disclosed this while speaking to newsmen in Minna the Niger State Capital.
The Army Chief who was in Niger State to attend the Training and Doctrine Command of the Army’s 2025 Conference said the Army has momentum and has reduced the activities of the Lakurawa and Other Terror groups across the Northeast and Northwest.
He assured all Nigerians that the Army is on the frontfoot and will not let up.
For his part, the Commandant of the Army Training and Doctrine Command, Major General Kevin Aligbe, highlighted the importance of aligning training of troops to address contemporary security challenges.
He added that combined arms operation is essential to protect the territorial integrity of Nigeria and address other security issues.
