Edwin Koech Kibet of Kenya has won the 10th Lagos City Marathon.
Kibet returned an unofficial time of 2 hours 14 minutes to emerge champion.

Nyango returned a time of 2 hours 25 minutes to finish as the 8th elite athlete and came in with the top 10 best male runners in the 42 kilometre race
Guta Meseret Hirpha is the winner of the Lagos City Marathon women event.
She clocked in at an official time of 2 hours and 37.02 minutes.
This year’s race was too hot for defending Champion for the women Kebene Chala who couldn’t even pick a medal.
Blessing Shambor is the first Nigerian woman to cross the line, while Elizabeth Power came in second
