The Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI) on Wednesday recorded a system collapse from 1,214MW at 3 pm to 0MW at 4 pm.
Although it was not immediately clear why the grid collapsed, Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) notified its customers that a system disturbance occurred at 3-4pm.
The energy distributor said the restoration was ongoing.
