Residents of Rimin Zakara, a community in Kano State, claim that two people were shot dead and four others injured during a government-led demolition exercise.
According to the residents, over 50 houses were demolished on Sunday evening, leaving many displaced.
Property worth millions of naira was reportedly lost, while legal representatives of the community accused the government of violating a court order by proceeding with the demolitions.
